I've missed you. Have you gotten a tan while I was away? Did you drink at least eight rootbeer floats this summer? I hope your aunt is doing well and that you've eaten plenty of cookies for me.
As for me, I recently celebrated another year of life. Pão e queijo turned two. I probably haven't taken advantage of summer nearly as much as you. I received the good news that I will be starting pastry school in less than two weeks. And I'm leaving my current job to take a pastry assistant position at a restaurant. And althought you might not be able to tell... I'M PSYCHED!
You haven't missed much in these past few months. No hearts got broken, I have only gone to the farmer's market twice (I'm still kicking myself that I missed strawberry season), and the food I cook is mundane. I have been working. Working. And doing more work. I have taken a leave of absence from my Master's program after a semester of suffering. But I'm about to get my hands back in the dough and I hope to not betray you again. So sorry.

These waffles are good but not amazing, so the search for the best waffle continues (I have some leads).
